dc.description.abstractWave fields at Chagui-Do sea area of Jeju were simulated based on Boussinesq wave model by applying directional irregular waves. A point near incident boundary and the four locations representing North, South, East and West of Chagui-Do were chosen for comparison of wave characteristics. The two different stochastic approaches of mean wave method and spectral wave method for were applied in the analysis of simulated wave characteristics and resultant wave parameters were compared. It is concluded that the directional irregular wave simulation is necessary for an accurate understanding of wave characteristics-
