dc.description.abstractVessel automatic docking systems require a centimeter level accuracy dissatisfied by DGPS. Furthermore, availability and continuity are required of more than 99.8% and more than 99.97%, respectively. So a laser docking system is used to dock vessels in harbor. The laser docking system is very accurate & useful; whereas there are too many considerable problems. Above all, the laser docking system is expansive and its service coverage is limited. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes a pseudolite-augmented CDGPS method, where pseudolite means small transmitter that transmits GPS-like signals in local area. In this paper, it is shown that the proposed method can provide the continuous service with centimeter level positioning accuracy through comparison analysis of RHDOP simulation results between the GPS satellite constellation and the pseudolite-augmented GPS satellite constellation. Finally, we discuss the design of the proposed pseudolite-augmented CDGPS method.-
