I has developed an 6,000m depth-rated unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) 'Hemire' and successfully accomplished a couple of sea trials in the East Sea and in the Pacific Ocean last year. During the sea trials a little noise at a sonar system was detected and this means that malfunctions of the sonar could decrease in its accuracy. In order to identify the noise characteristics of each component in 'Hemire' we measured sound pressure levels at several points while changing the operational conditions. This paper compares the results and discusses the possible origins of the noise. As a result we found that the thrusters mainly affects the frequency band below 200kHz and there is small interference between the sonar equipment. The hydraulic system radiates broadband noise as well as harmonic components in the low frequency range and is the most significant noise source throughout all the frequency ranges. Hemire UUV will be improved by rearranging the equipment, scheduling the device operations, and modifying the hydraulic system based on the measured radiation noise-
