dc.description.abstractThe ITTC specialists committee on stability in waves is conducting an international benchmark study where numerical methods for the calculation of time-to-flood are compared on the basis of specified tests in order to assess the present state of the art in this field. The study is a part of benchmark study and some preliminary results are presented in this paper providing an initial insight into the status of damage models and numerical method. The analysis has shown that current methods are very close to satisfactory capture the fundamental physical characteristics of time-to-flooding in specified conditions.-
