dc.description.abstract | This paper is investigated to variation of wave power generation operation rate and operating capacity with the wave condition represented by wave height-period window in order to determine the range of wave height and period for the optimal design of wave power generation unit at Chagui-Do sea area in Jeju For this, It was confirmed that the monthly variation of significant wave height(Hs), zero-up crossing period(Tz) and wave appearance rate distribution are similar through comparison of the field wave data obtained from 2004 to 2005 at Chagui-Do sea area and long-term wave data from 1979 to 2002, which is provided by Korea Ocean Research & Development Institute(KORDI). Take advantage of this result, the Hs-Tz and wave-energy density scatter diagrams are charted using the long-term wave data(KORDI). And n-year return period wave heights are calculated for the estimation of design wave height. | - |
