dc.description.abstract | A basic study on wave-induced current induced behind Very Large Floating Structure(VLFS) such as floating airport near shore has been carried out. In the previous studies, the wave field in shallow water has been investigated by depth-averaged wave model such as Boussinesq equation. But the model is inappropriate for investigating the wave deformation when there is a floating structure. In present study, finite element method is applied in the scoped of classical potential flow theory with fully nonlinear free surface conditions. The wave-induced current by reclaimed land and floating structure has been investigated. To simulate the breaking wave in the potential flow, a simple criteria for wave breaking and sea bottom friction are adopted in kinematic and dynamic free surface conditions. | - |
