dc.description.abstract | The wave loading characteristics of fixed OWC and box type breakwaters are studied experimentally. The effects of water depth, wave height and diameter of air duct on surge, heave force and pitch moment are investigated for various conditions. The box type model have the similar characteristics with the previous research results. The wave loadings are proportional to wave height. The surge force of OWC model was influenced by the water depth and diameter of air duct. Beyond the critical diameter of air duct, the characteristics of heave force and pitch moment are different to the that below the critical diameter of air duct and that of the box type model. | - |
