dc.description.abstract | FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) for the waterjet-lift device of DSNM (DeepSea manganese Nodules Miner) is performed in order to prevent occurrence of potential failure modes of the device. The waterjet-lift device raise and transport manganese nodules on deepsea floor. FMEA is introduced shortly and the rating criteria of severity, occurrence and detection for DSNM are defined. Concept design by using the axiomatic design methodology is accomplished as mapping between functional domain and physical domain of DSNM. FMEA for functional requirements of waterjet-lift device of DSNM is performed and the results are discussed. | - |
