dc.description.abstractTheoretical and numerical studies are given for the reflection and transmission of water waves within three-dimensional channel with non-uniform sidewalls. Under the framework of linear potential theory, eigenfunction expansion technique is applied for theoretical analysis. The same problems are also calculated by the Localized Finite Element Method(LFEM). Comparison between matching solutions and LFEM calculations shows a good agreement. In addition, a strong reflection condition and wave pattern at a special condition is discussed.-
