dc.description.abstract | Background noise of MOERI cavitation tunnel and measurement technique for propeller noise is experimentally studied in this study. The main objective of this study is to show the worthiness of the noise measurement at the MOERI middle size cavitation tunnel and accruing useful propeller noise data. Propeller noise tests are carried out for model propeller in various operating conditions. In order to secure the reliance of measured propeller noise dada, background noise of each operating conditions were measured and analyzed. Wake screen and dummy body are used for wake generator. The propeller is rotated in the simulated wake and noise is measured near the propeller. The noise characteristics according to operating condition are analyzed. This study may use for the future work on propeller noise study and it will provide a basis for noise experiment technique in LOCAT (Low nOise large Cavitation Tunnel) of MOERI. | - |
