dc.description.abstract | A real-time Collision Risk Contour Monitoring System (CRCMS) has been studied. This system makes it possible for both of crewmembers and VTS operator to recognize entire collision risk contour near own-ship or coastal area promptly and thus to reduce the casualty. In this study the collision risk contour is estimated by Fuzzy algorithm. Collision Risk Contour (CRC) is a kind of map of collision risk and it is estimated on collision risk between traffic ships as well as collision risk between ship and land area. CRCMS calculates CRC using traffic ship’s position information based on radar or AIS. The developed real-time CRCMS has been installed to the ship handling simulator system and its capabilities have been tested through simulator experiments. In this paper, the features of CRCMS and the results of simulator experiments are described. | - |
