dc.description.abstractThe driving pump was developed for the Low Noise Large Cavitation Tunnel(LOCAT) which is constrcted at Maritime & Ocean Engineering Research Institute(MOERI). In order to derive pump design condition, required headrise is calculated at various flow velocity conitions. The deriving pump is designed according to required headrise. The performance anlysis is conduceted using CFD code, and the performance is verified by model test. In developing low noise pump, it is important to avoid cavitation generation in all operating conditions. The cavitation tests were conducted at small cavitation tunnel, and the cavitation wasn't created at any operating condition. The LOCAT pump has 4.5m diameter, and is composed of the impeller with 7 blades and the stator with 9 blades.-
