dc.description.abstract | The application of DMU(Digital Mock-up) for design verification in product design processes is a recent trend to various industries such as vehicle manufacturing and shipbuilding. Some problems have been occurred with direct uses of design data generated by CAD systems into DMU environments. Data provided by CAD models are larger in a depth and quantity than data required by DMU environments. Geometry data for implementing DMU require only visible parts such as surface and convex of products. Translation tools have respectively specifications and intentions, and Generated data by same file format should be assessed for DMU conformances. In this paper, we classified and analyzed functional requirements for MOERI/KORDI DMU environments for efficient DMU generation tasks. Assessment parameters are defined for satisfaction of the requirements. We also suggest the assessment methods for conformance testing of translation tools within MOERI/KORDI DMU environments. | - |
