dc.description.abstractThis paper summarizes an experimental and numerical study on the marine propeller BPF noise. Cavitation tunnel test and noise measurement results are presented. The experiments carried out in the MOERI medium sized cavitation tunnel, equipped with 600mmX600mm test section. Time domain acoustic analogy coupled with a potential based panel method is used for the numerical investigation of the propeller noise. A brief summary of numerical prediction method is described and its results are compared with those of the experiment. Through this study, the noise source of propeller is analyzed, which will provide a basis for studying the mechanism of underwater propeller noise.-
