dc.description.abstractGreen water and overtopping are very common phenomena which occur at a ship and offshore structures in harsh wave conditions. Prediction of green water impact load and overtopping discharge is important to design a safe structure. However, there are some difficulties to simulate the overtopping phenomena exactly with a numerical method since various effects such as run-up, breaking, bottom friction should be considered. In the present study, three different numerical models are applied to estimate overtopped water volume: conventional potential flow model, hybrid scheme and SPH(Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) model. Limitation and feasibility of each model are discussed.-
