dc.description.abstract | This paper deals with development of a near-shore test miner. The test miner for deep-seabed manganese, which aims at the use for near-shore sea-test, was designed and manufactured. The test miner consist of mechanical system, hydraulic system, electric-electronic system, monitoring system. Mechanical system is composed of hybrid pick-up device, track sub-system, nodule crusher, chassis structure, thruster and etc. Hydraulic system id a closed loop system, which is composed pressure compensated reservoir, under hydraulic power unit(HPU) and oil filled valve block. Electric system consists of power supply system, signal handling system, valve system and sensor system. In order to design and manufacture test miner, simulation based design(SBD) and multi-disciplinary design optimization(MDO) technique were developed. The numerical analysis model of the test miner is developed using commerical software, RecurDyn. | - |
