dc.description.abstract | Many researches have been studied for minimizing the human error, which is one of the main causes of maritime accidents. Recently, in order to address the problem of navigation equipment such as high complexity and inefficient information provision, augmented reality (AR) technology has been introduced to the navigation equipment for supporting decision making of officers. In this paper, the usefulness of navigation equipment based on AR which provides intuitive and efficient information with limited screen is evaluated. Experimental results show that subjects use the navigation equipment based on AR more than other navigation equipment. Especially, this navigation equipment based on AR can be efficiently used in foggy conditions. | - |
