dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a methodology of an underwater robot development based on a components management, where a component is an independent function module defined and managed by a developer, and each component has its own history. To build an underwater robot, a lot of typical components are assembled and only special components for new mission will be developed which is provided an unified environment for development and maintenance. Additional, since well-defined and well-developed component becomes a generalized standard component, reusability could be increased and cost would be deceased in this standard environment. Eventually, it is able to lessen a burden of commercialization of underwater robots. | - |
