dc.description.abstract | This paper introduces about the development of the ultrasonic distance measuring system which measures the gap between the surface of seabed and the collecting device of the test miner. The system is composed of underwater ultrasonic transducer, signal processing board and the housing. The transducer is used 1MHz underwater sensor for the robustness to external sound noise and high resolution. The self-manufactured processing board is divided two parts, analog and digital part. The analog part is that 1MHz signal input the transducer and the received reflection signal is amplified and filtering. Digital part is calculated the time between input and reflection signal processed from the analog part. The measured gap is outputted through the analog output and RS232 communication. Finally, the performance is checked from the water tank test attaching the system at the test miner. | - |
