At present, the global concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing. If recent trends in global CO2 emissions continue, the world will not be on a path towards stabilization of greenhouse gas concentration(IPCC, 2005). Carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) technology has been regarded as one of the most promising option to mitigate the climate change and global warming. To realize more reliable and safe CCS technology, more advances in various scientific and engineering fields should be achieved. In CCS system, a huge amount of captured CO2 from point sources such as power plant should be transported for storage into the marine or ground geological structure. We have developed technologies for CO2 ocean sequestration, which cover the initial survey of potentially suitable marine geological structure for CO2 storage site, basic design of CO2 transport and storage process, onshore/offshore plant design, monitoring of the stored CO2 behavior and assessment of potential environmental risk due to CO2 leakage from the storage site. The purpose of this paper is to introduce and review the researches on the major design parameters of the on-shore and off-shore CO2 transport system.-
