dc.description.abstract | Recently scientific methods are needed to monitor the change of environment. To synthetically monitor the change of environment, the continuous monitoring method for the wide area is required. The sensor network technology can be a good solution to the constant monitoring of wide area. A sensor network is a network consisting of spatially distributed autonomous devices using sensors to cooperatively monitor physical or environmental conditions and measured data in this node can be transmitted to observer. Because of long-time lasting and wide area, the reliability problem in the environmental monitoring sensor network is more important. The reliability of sensor network is affected by faults that may occur die to various reasons such as malfunction hardware, software glitches, dislocation or environmental hazards. In this presentation, we present the classification of fault tolerance and detection techniques in sensor network and guideline to design the fault tolerant sensor network architecture. | - |
