dc.description.abstract | A numerical and experimental study on the pressure fluctuation induced by a propeller were carried out in this study. Ffowcs Williams proposed acoustic theory was applied to the prediction of pressure fluctuation caused by the volume variation of propeller sheet cavitation. As a result of previous study, the pressure fluctuation is represented by the combined results of the near field and far field terms (Seol et al. 2009). Furthermore. an elaborate prediction requires overall consideration of near field term, effect go relative motion of sources and retarded time for the measurement position (Seol et al. 2009). The numerical prediction results of the newly developed method are compared with those of other prediction method and experiment results under various operating condition and propellers. The results of newly developed time domain method are good agreement with experiment results. | - |
