dc.description.abstractTo reduce carbon dioxide emission from powerplants, it can be captured, transported, injected and stored in deep geological formations. Generally, we can use two options to transport the captured CO2 from point sources to storage site, especially for offshore geological formation. One is the pipeline and the other one is carrier, carrying-vessel. In this paper, basic process design of CO2 mixture pipeline transport was carried out. Because the transport process highly depends on the locations and distance of CO2 sources and sinks, a basic hypothetical scenario was made. The effect of impurities such as H2O and N2 on CO2 mixture flow inside the subsea pipeline was analysed. And abnormal situations during the CO2 mixture pipeline transport can be happened due to the various reasons such as start-up, shutdown and unexpected accidents. To study the thermophysical behavior of CO2 mixture, we made experimental facilities to simulate abnormal operation conditions. It can provide experimental data to make a safe and environment friendly transport system.-
