dc.description.abstract | The motion & wave loads responses of semisubmerisible is studied experimentally in this paper. A series of experiments for the semisubmersible model which is consist of two segmented superstructure for measuring wave loads with 1/60 scale ratio were carried out at Ocean Engineering Basin. The regular, white noise spectrum & irregular waves were generated by ships which have a different cruising speed and direction. The 6-d.o.f motions & relative wave elevation for measuring air gap and vertical bending moment, split force etc. of semisubmersible was measured, and a focusing wave for study impact load was generated at the basin. A higher order boundary element method(HOBEM) combined with generalized mode approach is applied to analysis of motion & drift force of semisubmersible. The simulated motion & drift force responses have been compared with the experimental results and discussed. | - |
