dc.description.abstract | This paper concerns about the numerical analysis method for conceptual design of multibody VIV(Vortex-Induced Vibration) system. In this paper, conceptual design of the VIV system is proposed using 3D CAD model. In order to apply the effect of buoyancy and added mass, VIV system is modeled using user defined subroutine in commercial analysis software. Furthermore coefficient and free length of spring are calculated based on natural frequency of VIV system model. This kind of spring characteristic is used to manufacture the actual system. | - |
