dc.description.abstract | Previously developed method of estimating the thrust performance of UUV was applied to the high speed UUV which is propelled by commercial thrusters. The thrusters were selected by somewhat over design sense, in other words their capacity was marginal. In that point designer's concern was focused on at what rpm the UUV could reach the design speed. We asked the POW data of the thrusters to manufacturer and processed the data to extract the thrust coefficient and to estimate the rpm value of design speed for the UUV. Finally we compared the estimated value and the result from self propulsion test in the way of VPMM(Vertical Planar Motion Mechanism) test at towing tank in MOERI. | - |
