dc.description.abstract해양활동을 통해 해양환경에 직·간접적으로 유입된 어망, 와이어, 로프, 비닐봉지와 같은 해양쓰레기는 해양생물의 서식지 파괴, 생태계 파괴, 수산업의 경제적 피해 등을 일으키는 심각한 해양 오염 중 하나로 인식된다. 적절한 해양쓰레기 항만수용시설은 해양쓰레기가 해양환경에 유입․방치되어 환경오염 및 해양자원을 훼손하는 것을 방지하기 때문에 MARPOL협약 회원국은 부속서 V에 의거하여 선박기인 해양쓰레기(garbage from ships) 항만수용시설 설치의 의무를 가진다. 본 연구에서는 IMO GISIS를 통한 국제기구의 활동과 타지역해 협력 사례를 분석하고, NOWPAP회원국-한, 중, 일, 러-의 해양쓰레기 항만수용시설 현황 및 효율적 관리 방안을 제시하고자 한다. Marine litter generated from sea-based activities, such as net, rope, wire, and plastic bags, is discarded in the marine environment directly or indirectly and may destruct habitat of marine animal, threaten biodiversity, and result in economic losses. In these reasons, marine litter is regarded as one of major marine pollution, and adequate port reception facilities are important to prevent marine litter from being disposed at sea. In order not to marine litter be discarded into the sea, it is necessary to manage port reception facilities for garbage from ships by the effective provision in compliance with Annex V of MARPOL Convention. This study analyzes relevant activities of international organizations, case studies of regional co-operations, and information of IMO GISIS regarding port reception facilities for garbage from ships in the NOWPAP region and present future directions for effective management of marine litter.-
