dc.description.abstract | Recently underwater acoustic communication has attracted our attention because sound is only way to transmit information without a wire to a long distance. Unfortunately, there is no standard channel model for underwater acoustic communication. It is characterized as a time-varying and multipath channel and complicated to describe. In 2004 KORDI launched a project, which aim is to develop an underwater acoustic network system. In order to design efficient modems several sea-trials has been performed for the measurement of channel characteristics. This paper compares and summarizes the statistical properties based on the data measured in Jinhae Bay from 2007 through 2009. | - |
