dc.description.abstractThe shipbuilding industry has characteristics of a Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order different from a Engineering-to-Order manufacturing in a automobile, mechanical and airplane industries. Technologies for production simulation of ships and offshore plants would improve the manufacturabilities of Korean shipyards. We introduce digital simulation in virtual environment for validation and verification of ship production process. The development plan for system framework in viewpoint of software engineering would be proposed. The system framework techniques would provide a reusability of developed modules and an assurance of extensibility.-
