dc.description.abstract | An experimental test was carried out to investigate the functions and performance characteristics of mission sensors of ISiMI100 AUV. As mission sensors, ISiMI AUV will be equipped with a side scan sonar system and a water quality sensor. The 600 kHz Sea Scan HDS made by Marinesonic Inc. and the DataSonde MS5 water quality sensor of Hach environmental Inc. were selected as mission sensors of ISiMI100 AUV. In the seabed imaging experiment conducted in Jangmok Koje, we got acoustic image of sea bottom at the coast of South Sea Research Institute using the Sea Scan HDS side scan sonar system. The performance of Sea Scan HDS is validated from the experimental results and the functions necessary to control the sonar system in AUV are checked in the experiment. The analysis of experimental data acquired by the mission sensors of ISiMI are presented in this paper. | - |
