dc.description.abstract | Gap effect on wave drift forces of side-by-side moored vessels are numerically investigated. Higher-order boundary element method (HOBEM) using wave Green function is adopted for numerical analysis in frequency-domain. Finite element method is also employed for efficient implementation of artificial damping zone both on gap free surface and hull surfaces of side-by-side moored vessels. FPSO and shuttle tanker models studied by Hong et al.(2002) and Hong and Nam(2010) are considered to verify proposed numerical modeling of gap effect analysis. | - |
