dc.description.abstract | Vortex-Induced Vibration (VIV) phenomena of circular cylinder were experimentally investigated. The elastically supported cylinder was levered and excited in rotational vibration mode around hinge point in water flow. The experimental device was towed by carriage in water tank. Reynolds number was varied in the range of 104 ~ 105. The rotational vibration mode of VIV of cylinder was locked-in at the reduced velocity about 6. The utilization of the lock-in VIV of cylinder was investigated for ocean clean energy from tidal current. | - |
