dc.description.abstract | To enhance the resource effectiveness of deep ocean water (DOW), multi-purpose utilization of it is being planned for Green city in Korea which consists of various renewable energy, low-carbon building, green car etc. as fundamental constituents. DOW is being applied to get alternative energy for power generation as well as air conditioning, and absorption measure of carbon dioxide through cultivation of plant farm or marine forest. This study shows the overview of demonstration project on Green city and the application methods of DOW to achieve Green city as a materials and processing measure. Cascade use of DOW including OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion) and SWAC (Sea Water Air Conditioning) will be introduced to establish demonstration project of Green city and to propagate relevant models along the coastal zones in Korea. | - |
