dc.description.abstractKEPRI(Korea Electric Power Research Institute) developed a new movable wave energy converter which comprises linked PTO(Power Takeoff) and VLCO(Variable Liquid Column Oscillator). And, comparable performances of the VLCO system were investigated. The proposed VLCO system has two floating bodies. If it has three bodies, the PTO performances will be changed. This study numerically analyzes the behavior of 3-body VLCO system and compares its performance with 2-body system. From the analysis results, some findings about the effect of number of bodies on VLCOs performance are discussed.-
