Abstract

Simulation representations for tug-barge transportation requires more realistic and adaptable to real situations for characteristics of tug-barge. The additional display supplementations could extent CDS to simulate tug-barge transportation. In the viewpoint of a M&S(Modeling and Simulation), the completion of modeling of ocean environments and visualization with a realistic and immersive virtual scene is a prerequisite to simulator developments. This paper describes the modeling and visualization methods for representing simulations of tug-barge transportation. The characteristics of tug-barge transportation in the viewpoint of Modeling and Simulation have been analyzed. We used a open source rendering engines to represent virtual scene and have implemented visual representation of rear side visualization with legacy simulators. The modeling and visualization for tug-barge transportation simulation could ascertain the operation of tug boat with a barge ship.
