dc.description.abstractIn recovery, loading plate that connects deep-sea manganeses nodule pilot miner to the LARS(launch and recovery system) has possibility of failure. If it occurs, serious problem will be faced, i.e., deep-sea manganeses nodule pilot miner will be lost. In this paper, boundary conditions are decided for recovery with consideration of contained water in the deep-sea manganeses nodule pilot miner. Static analysis and modal analysis are performed in these boundary conditions. Through the static analysis, we can conclude that loading frame around loading plate is the weak frame. Through two cases modal analysis, free boundary condition case and recovery boundary condition case, we can conclude that which behavior is critical and which frame has to be reinforced. Commercial FEM software ANSYS is used.-
