dc.description.abstractIn this study, three-dimensional free-surface flows with ship motion in waves are simulated by using a CIP-based method. The governing equations are solved on stationary staggered Cartesian grids by a finite difference method. Free surface is considered as the interface of multi-phase problem with air, water, and solid phases. Numerical simulations are carried out for the radiation and diffraction problems of Series 60 (Cb=0.7) hull with and without forward speed. Nonlinear motion responses are also simulated for S175 containership, and computational results are compared with other numerical results of potential-based code and experiment data.-
