dc.description.abstract | In this paper, design of shallow water manoeuvring captive model tests using HPMM(Horizontal Planar Motion Mechanism) and summary of preliminary tests result of KCS container ship are presented. By accounting physical specification of HPMM device and analyzing test results, preliminary test conditions are checked. Alternative ways to make test conditions those are not feasible with general approach are suggested. Preliminary model test results with shallow and deep water conditions are compared.PMM device and analyzing test results, preliminary test conditions are checked.
