dc.description.abstract | Human interaction with virtual environment is the dominant trend in various fields. In the view of ship maintenance, repair and operation (MRO), the crews would use human interaction to perform these tasks. Portable mobile devices could support work conveniences and portability. An Augmented Reality (AR) technology could make good use of the mobile devices more worthily. This paper describes state-of-the-art application researches of augmented reality technology and suggests application fields of ship operation and maintenance with augmented reality functions. support work conveniences and portability.
