dc.description.abstract | In this paper, numerical simulation of towed ship are studied using MMG model of Yasukawa et al. (2006). In order to investigate the effects of hydrodynamic forces on the motion of towed barge, a series of numerical simulations using variable hydrodynamic coefficients are carried out. Comparison of simulation results with analytical stability criteria shows good agreement. It is found that four hydrodynamic force coefficients have an significant effect on the towing stability.iable hydrodynamic coefficients are carried out.
