dc.description.abstract | This study investigates the stern flow around the KVLCC2 model ship with a propeller and a rudder using the stereoscopic PIV system in the towing tank of KORDI. The effect of the existence of a propeller and a rudder on the flow pattern was examined from the experimental results. In addition, the phaseaveraged flow field at the specific propeller angular position was obtained. The obtained results would be useful for the CFD validation and for understanding the flow phenomena around a modern tanker.was examined from the experimental results.
