dc.description.abstract | Abstract : The optimized mooring system in commercial stage for floating WEC Farm is inevitable to ensure the safety of floating WEC and reduce the cost to construct mooring system. Mooring system in floating WEC farm is designed in 2 dimension. The anchorless mooring line linked between two floaters is proposed for a concept of mooring system in WECs farm. The mooring system in WEC farm is designed with the based on properties of mooring system for one floating WEC system. A dynamic behaviour characteristics and safety of the designed mooring system under the extreme ocean condition are analyzed with the commercial software of Orcaflex. The length adding its suspended length into the length of a basically designed 1 mooring line is proposed as the length of the anchorless center line connecting two floating WEC. Stable and high safety in tension of designed mooring lines for WEC farm shows in the numerical study. The proposed anchorless mooring system for WEC farm will reduce considerable length of mooring line resulting in economic development of WEC farm.imension.
