dc.description.abstractIn this study, the characteristics of fracture propagation of CO2 pipeline in terms of its safety was investigated. The saturation pressure of CO2 stream during leakage is affected by its initial temperature and pressure as well as impurities. To prevent the fracture propagation of CO2 pipeline, the saturation pressure of CO2 stream should be lowered. Relatively high pressure and low temperature of the CO2 stream can reduce its saturation pressure during leakage while the impurities such as nitrogen, methane increase that. Based on the results of this study, the safety of CO2 pipeline for carbon capture and storage (CCS) demonstration can be achieved.rities.
