dc.description.abstract | Generally, when fatal accidents occurred at the sea many of victims suddenly plunged into cold water and they can survive only a few time. For this reason the time required to rescue is more important than how good lifejacket or other life-saving equipment victims have. In addition, during the nighttime and inclement weather, it is hard to find a person in distress at sea. Rescue equipment like as light stick, SOS-Buoy, SART (Search and Rescue Transponder) and EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons) are good rescue device but they have some problem of error and limited operation area. Therefore we should find another effective way to find and rescue a victim in an allowed time. As a new way of rescue, RCS (Radar Cross Section) characteristic is considerable because big RCS signal easy to find day and night even in the inclement weather. In this paper, ergonomics-based life-saving appliance for search and rescue activities has tudied.ife-saving equipment victims have.
