dc.description.abstractRecently, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) methods are widely used for the ship hydrodynamics field. Among many advantages of CFD, it is the most profitable that the flow field of interest can easily be investigated. For analyzing maoeuvrability of a ship, several researches using CFD have been tried but the results still seem to have room for enhancement. However, because it is also true for the manoeuvrability analysis that the flow field of interest can easily be investigated, CFD can be used for the supplement of manoeuvring captive model tests. This paper deals with setting-up of a numerical manoeuvring captive model test procedure with CFD, regarding the use of CFD as a supplement of captive model tests.ability of a ship, several researches using CFD have been tried but the results still seem to have room for enhancement.
