dc.description.abstractThree subsystem synthesis methods with stiff spring, constraint, and constraint elimination have been proposed for an efficient analysis of the beam model in a deep sea-bed mining system. A deep sea-bed mining system consists of a lifting pipe, a buffer, a mining vessel, a carrier, a flexible pipe, and a miner vehicle. Efficiency analysis of the sea-bed mining system is necessary in order that set up the controlled miner vehicle on the sea-floor. For the efficient analysis, subsystem synthesis methods for the lifting pipe and a flexible pipe can be utilized. Efficiency and accuracy of the methods has been investigated using beam model of the sea-bed mining system. Among three proposed methods, the constraint elimination method has turned out to be the most effective one.ipe, a buffer, a mining vessel, a carrier, a flexible pipe, and a miner vehicle.
