dc.description.abstractA deep-sea pressure vessel should have strength and watertightness from high pressure. It should be designed for complicated shapes like holes at the endcap for communication and electric power ransmission between internal electronic equipment and external equipment. But, it is impossible to design for a deep-sea pressure vessel, because the current design methods are suitable for design of uncomplicated and standardized shapes only. So, there is a need to design the pressure vessel for complicated shapes. In this paper, we compare the presented methods with finite element analysis for simple model and obtain similar results. And then we suggest an optimization technique based on surrogate model considering structural safety of complicated shapes.ent and external equipment.
