dc.description.abstractMeasurements of local force due to water impacts on a two-dimensional wedge are mainly studied in the present study. Several pressure and force sensors are attached on the sloped plane of wedge, and the pressure and force signals are measured during the vertical drop of the wedge. The drop velocity of wedge is evaluated from the measured acceleration and displacement. The measured pressure is compared with the analytic solution. The measured forces of local area of wedge are compared with the force evaluated from the integration of pressure. Some findings are presented and the reliability of force sensor for the measurement of local force due to water impact is discussed.ed during the vertical drop of the wedge.
