dc.description.abstract | IHO (International Hydrographic Organization) have developed S-57 as a standard for object model of the hydrographic information, which included the product specification for ENC (Electronic Navigational Chart) for navigational usage of hydrographic information. Coastal nations are producing their ENCs based on the S-57 standard and validating the datasets based on the S-58 validation standard. S-58 describes each validation item in narrative way for minimum requirement which resulted in different check result among validation tools. In this paper, we have developed a software tool to define the narrative validation item into machine readable XML format, called as Validation Catalogue and to check validation items of ENC and customized ENC like MIOs based on specifically defined Catalogue as well.rographic information.
