Hydrodynamic performance of hulls of unmanned vessel is assessed by model test in towing tank. Effects of interceptor on stern is examined in resistance test and seakeeping test and compared with bare hull and trim tab results. With varying projection length of interceptors, sufficient length of interceptor is identified. In addition, a novel towing mechanism without counter weight for towing rod is designed and validated in high speed towing carriage. The results with novel system shows differences in resonance condition in seakeeping test. Using the novel system, hydrodynamic performance of modified model is tested with and without side walls. projection length of interceptors, sufficient length of interceptor is identified.
